Interview with Megan:

Which school have you decided to attend and why?

I have decided to attend the University of Iowa because of their excellent school and basketball program. The coaches are fantastic and once I got on campus and met the team, I knew that I wanted to be a part of that program.

What other schools did you consider?

I considered Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa State, DePaul, Marquette, among others.

What are your goals for the 2014-2015 school season?

One of our goals as a team would definitely have to be getting back on the state floor. We also are going to focus on teamwork, and believing in each other. I know that if we can do those things, we will be able to have a long tournament run.

How long have you played in the Team Wisconsin program?

I have been with the Team Wisconsin program for 5 years. 1 year on the Viking Club, 1 year on Team Wisconsin, and 3 years with Team Wisconsin Select Black.

What were the benefits of playing with Team Wisconsin?

There are so many benefits playing with Team Wisconsin, could probably go on and on. The coaches are amazing, not only helping you with basketball, but they care about your other achievements, and they care about you as a person. Another benefit would be playing with and against some of the best players in the country. I would definitely not be the player and person I am today without being a part of Team Wisconsin!

What was your favorite Team Wisconsin memory/experience (on or off the court) and why?

I would say that my favorite memory would have to be beating North Tartan Nike EYBL this past summer and going on to win that tournament. We worked so hard as a team, and it was a perfect way to end my AAU career.

What advice do you have for younger basketball players.

My advice to younger basketball players is to work hard, every day, and to never give up, no matter how hard it may be.

Best of luck to Megan and her South Shore teammates this season!
